The Royal Chessmen hailed from El Monte, California and in 1966 recorded the Eastside classic "Beggin' You"
"Beggin You" was intended to be the B-Side of the record with "You Must Believe Me" as the A-Side.
The songs were recorded and released on the Custom Fidelity label, a private press company that produced records on contract for artists. The band literally sold the records out of the trunks of their cars which makes them very rare and collectable in today's market.
